In Doug’s 40+ years as an inventor, he has developed hundreds of patents, as viewable below; his work encompasses medical technology, consumer products, and sports equipment, among several other categories. In 2006, he was enlisted to solve complex problems for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the efforts of which enabled the department to be more productive during a time of pivotal change. He is the only industrial designer in history that has ever been given this responsibility, and he is proud to have applied his creative methodology to many efforts of similar impact in service, always, of humanity.
