GOAL
After Patton Design won American Inventor and was successful with the Disney spray bottle design, Disney offered another opportunity: to develop a unique faux flame candle. Doug spent over a year developing a one-of-a-kind effect that was patented and made into a manufacturable product.

The magnificent flame effect that was created looks just like a real flame; it was immediately successful. Over new utility patents were established in over 10 countries worldwide for this product. Today, Luminara candles are sold around the world and are a tremendous success financially.
