Patton Design’s company Ophthalmic Synergies has created a new level of cataract surgery innovation, surgeon capability, and patient safety for LENSAR, an international cataract surgery company, that is a world first. A revolutionary synthesis of femtosecond and phacoemulsification laser technology in cataract surgery will soon allow for implementation in outpatient centers worldwide.

The process began in 2011 with visionary patents that advanced this blended technology. In 2019, 9 patents were licensed to LENSAR, and FDA clearance for ALLY was granted in June of 2022, after which time over 20 systems were purchased.
